For me, 2019 was the year of the toad! We had a swarm of toads come onto our property all summer and fall. Every 12 or so inches you would find a very tiny baby toad hopping about! We couldn’t mow our lawn all summer. This year they have settled around my yard and are growing up! I have so much fun seeing them grow. This is my 2020 version of the toad. It is one of a kind and filled with 24k gold leaf. The painting is 2.5’’x3.5’’ (ACEO size), and it is framed in a box frame so that the glass does not touch the painting that is textured. This piece is made out of handmade watercolors that I made out of my grandmother’s jewelry, a crystal, and 24k gold leaf.
